Academy Motorsport is a proven force in GT4 racing, competing in both the British GT Championship and the GT4 European Series.
Crowned 2023 British GT4 Champions, the team continues to build on its success alongside long-term partners Ford Racing and Multimatic Motorsports.

Since rejoining the GT4 arena in 2020 with the Ford Mustang GT4, the team has gone from strength to strength. A breakout season delivered race wins, pole positions, and lap records, setting the stage for a championship campaign.
In 2026, Academy Motorsport ran two Ford Racing S650 Mustang GT4s across the full GT4 European Series season, fielding drivers from the Ford Racing Driver Development programme and taking a podium at Monza.

DRIVER PROFILES
Matt Nicoll-Jones
Matt Nicoll-Jones has a long and highly successful career in motorsport having started karting at 5 years old and racing competitively from 8 years old.
Matt is both a race driver and owner of Academy Motorsport.
Matt hasn't let the pressures of the business get in the way of his own on track ambitions and love of the competition.
Erik Evans
American driver and international race champion Erik Evans set the track record at Atlanta Motorsports Park in his very first competitive karting race — and hasn't looked back since.
Accomplished across karting, Formula 4, and USF2000, Evans joined Academy Motorsport in 2021. In 2023 he took victories at both Brands Hatch and Donington Park to become a British GT4 champion.
Now a key part of the Ford Racing Development Driver programme, Evans returns with Academy in 2026 for a full GT4 European Series campaign.
Nathan Vanspringel
Belgian driver Nathan Vanspringel made his racing debut in the Ford Fiesta Sprint Cup in 2019, winning the Rookie of the Year title at just 17 years old.
After building his experience across Belgian and French GT4 championships, Nathan joined the Ford Racing Junior programme and stepped up to a full GT4 European Series campaign in 2025 with the Ford Mustang GT4.
The connection to Ford runs deep — his family runs Vanspringel Automobiles, a Ford dealership based near Brussels. Now racing with Academy Motorsport alongside Erik Evans in 2026, Nathan brings GT4 European Series experience and the drive of a young talent with plenty left to prove.
Marco Signoretti
Having initially raced karts and worked as a mechanic for 12 years, in 2019 Marco won his first season in the Nissan Micra Cup.
In 2021 he went on to win the Sports Car Championship of Canada driving a Mustang GT4.
Marco has raced with us before in 2022 for the British GT Championship.
Marco states 'I am excited to be back with a "true racers" team like Academy Motorsport; who are focused on one thing… winning races!'.
