Mustangs Ready for the Charge
The GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club returns this weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard (April 11–13), and all eyes will be on Academy Motorsport as the team prepares to unleash the Ford Mustang GT4 on the world’s biggest GT4 grid.
With 43 cars entered across three categories, competition will be fierce, but the Mustangs arrive with momentum and plenty of expectation. Leading the charge in the Silver Cup are Erik Evans and Marco Signoretti, two Ford Performance Junior Drivers who know exactly what it takes to win at this level. The duo already etched their names into history books with the Mustang’s first European GT4 victory, and now return to build on that success.
Backed by Multimatic’s engineering expertise and Ford Performance support, Academy’s Mustangs bring a different flavour to the grid — a raw, powerful muscle car going toe-to-toe with the established European marques. That contrast makes them one of the most exciting storylines of the new season.
Academy Motorsport’s ambitions go beyond just flying the flag for Ford. With Evans and Signoretti at the wheel, the target is clear: challenge for wins, fight for podiums, and prove the Mustang belongs at the very front of GT4 Europe.
The curtain-raiser in France sets the stage for another dramatic year of racing, with two one-hour races on Sunday, April 13. For Academy and the Mustangs, it’s the first step in what promises to be a season-long fight at the sharp end of the grid.
