Academy Motorsport Heads to Misano for Round 4 of the GT4 European Series
Academy Motorsport travels to Italy for Round 4 of the 2026 GT4 European Series, with the Ford Mustang GT4 taking on the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli from 17–19 July as part of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup weekend.
Erik Evans and Nathan Vanspringel continue in Car 61 as the team’s Ford Racing Development Driver pairing, carrying momentum from a strong Q2 showing at Spa-Francorchamps into one of the season’s most compact and technical circuits.
The 4.226-kilometre Misano circuit is tight and technical, with slow-speed corners and a flowing final sector that rewards car balance as much as outright pace. Free practice and pre-qualifying run on Friday, with the full qualifying session and Race 1 both on Saturday. Race 2 follows on Sunday morning.
A paid test session is also scheduled for Thursday 16 July, giving the team an additional opportunity to prepare ahead of the competitive weekend.
