A successful day.

LE MANS, France – Academy Motorsport delivered strong results at the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational at Circuit de la Sarthe, with standout performances across multiple classes. Marco Signoretti and Matt Nicoll-Jones both secured top-five finishes in the Dark Horse Class, while Chris Hoy brought home a top-five in the Dark Horse Stars Class.

In the Dark Horse Class, Canadian driver Marco Signoretti kept the No. 97 Mustang at the sharp end of the field throughout Race 1. After a strong start that saw him side-by-side for second position, Signoretti brought the car home in third. “I had a good start which had me side-by-side with second place. It was crazy… three wide. We were very competitive, but just made too many costly mistakes to get up to second. We had some great battles, learned a lot during the race and will make less mistakes tomorrow,” said Signoretti.

Teammate Matt Nicoll-Jones in the No. 62 Mustang delivered another consistent performance, finishing fourth and giving Academy Motorsport back-to-back top-four results against an international field of Mustang Challenge competitors.

In the Dark Horse Stars Class, Sir Chris Hoy showed determination and pace in the No. 77 Academy Motorsport Mustang Dark Horse R. Facing off against experienced rivals, Hoy crossed the line in fourth after a spirited drive at the legendary Le Mans circuit.

With three drivers securing top-five results in their respective classes, Academy Motorsport leaves Race 1 with momentum and valuable insights. The team now turns its attention to Race 2 at Circuit de la Sarthe, aiming to build on this strong foundation and challenge for podium finishes.
