Will Moore to partner Matt Cowley for final two rounds
Academy Motorsport are pleased to welcome Will Moore back to the team for the final two rounds of the British GT Championship. Moore will return to the team from the next round at Snetterton, to partner his former team-mate Matt Cowley.
Moore had been set to complete a season-long campaign with the team prior to the Covid19 pandemic. However, in a change of circumstances, he will now complete the final two rounds at Snetterton and Silverstone.
Both Moore and Cowley raced together last season, in the GT4 European Series, and together they create a formidable pairing.
Academy Motorsport’s Managing Director, Matt Nicoll-Jones, said: “It’s great to have Will back with us. He has raced with us for many years, so he’s certainly a known entity. He and Matt shared a car last season, so we know they work well together. We’re confident Will can help us continue the strong form we’ve shown during the last two rounds as we head towards the end of the season.”
With just two rounds remaining, Cowley sits just 1.5 points adrift of the top of the GT4 championship standings. The championship resumes at Snetterton next weekend (3rd – 4th October).
