Academy Motorsport Fields Four Ford Racing Driver Development Team Members at Season-Opening Paul Ricard Round

Pershore, Worcestershire – 06/04/2026 –  Academy Motorsport will line up two Ford Mustang GT4s at the opening round of the 2026 GT4 European Series at Circuit Paul Ricard, with all four drivers competing under the Ford Racing Driver Development Team programme.

Joining Erik Evans and Nathan Vanspringel in the No. 61 entry, Academy Motorsport will field Marco Signoretti and Jenson Altzman in the No. 62 Ford Mustang GT4 for the Paul Ricard round. The two-car, all-Ford driver development line-up underlines the strength of the relationship between Academy Motorsport, and Ford Racing, demonstrating the confidence Ford Racing places in the team as a platform for its emerging talent.

“To have four members of the Ford Racing Driver Development Team under the Academy Motorsport banner at Paul Ricard is something we’re incredibly proud of,” said Team Manager Les Jones. “It speaks volumes about the environment we’ve built here and the confidence Ford Racing has in us to develop their drivers at the highest level. Both pairings are well-matched and highly motivated — it should make for a very strong round.”

Team owner Matt Nicoll-Jones added, “The Ford relationship  is central to everything we do, and having four of their driver development team members in our European GT4 squad is a real statement of our relationship with Ford. We’re looking forward to seeing what all four drivers can do.”

With the No. 62 car representing a compelling opportunity in one of Europe’s premier GT4 championships, the team welcomes enquiries from drivers interested in joining the programme beyond Paul Ricard. Academy Motorsport’s combination of championship-winning experience, partnerships with Ford Racing and Multimatic Motorsports, and a proven development environment makes it one of the most attractive programmes on the GT4 European grid.

The 2026 GT4 European Series gets underway in April at Circuit Paul Ricard, with rounds across France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Portugal.
