The Mustang Makes History!

Mustang Makes History at Paul Ricard

  • First-ever European win for the new-generation Ford Mustang GT4

Erik Evans and Marco Signoretti etched their names into the history books at Circuit Paul Ricard, taking a sensational win in the opening GT4 European Series powered by RAFA Racing Club. The result marks the first victory for the new Multimatic-built Ford Mustang GT4 in Europe—and the first Mustang win in GT4 Europe since 2008.

Starting from sixth, the Ford Performance Junior Team duo delivered a masterclass in strategy and pace. Evans charged into the top three before handing over to Signoretti at the earliest opportunity. The undercut proved decisive: a rapid out-lap gave the Canadian track position, and he wasted no time muscling the Mustang into the lead at Turn 1.

From there it was a flat-out fight to the flag. Signoretti resisted relentless pressure from Tom Duran in the Matmut Évolution Toyota and the charging Elite Motorsport McLaren of Josh Rattican and McKenzy Cresswell. Less than a second separated the top two at the line, with the L’Espace Bienvenue BMW of Ricardo van der Ende and Benjamin Lessennes promoted to third after a penalty for the McLaren.
